Donna Forte Consulting Group is a leadership and workforce development practice for the institutions carrying public missions — public agencies, foundations, and the nonprofits they fund. Founded by Wendy Kennedy, MS.Ed, IMH-E®, after thirty years across early childhood mental health, special education, and organizational practice, the firm designs workforce systems, advises institutions through change, and coaches the leaders responsible for both. The most recent chapter is a matter of public record: a statewide workforce development system built under a one-million-dollar Massachusetts state grant, now under independent impact evaluation at Boston University.

We begin by reading what’s already operating — the system beneath the structure, the history in the room, the pattern the presenting need sits inside. Then we build from it, bringing what it doesn’t yet hold: a framework, a discipline, an outside eye. The direction never leaves your hands, the evidence grows as the work does, and the engagement fits the machinery you answer to — grant cycles, scopes of work, deliverables. It ends when what’s built holds without us.

Within them, the work is with people: executive directors, agency and program leaders, boards, and the executives who answer to both.
